The annual meeting of the ISO TC 333 Lithium International Standard Technical Committee was held in Beijing at the beginning of December, attended by experts from 14 countries, including the United Kingdom, France and Germany.

The ISO/TC 333 committee is a normative and technical committee and part of the International Standards Organization (ISO). It was founded in May 2020 at the request of the People's Republic of China following a positive vote by many ISO member countries.

The ISO/TC 333 committee consists of eleven participating members, including the most important producing countries and/or countries with important deposits of this non-metallic mineral such as Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Australia. There are also 11 observer members, including Germany, Austria, Korea, Canada and the USA.

Each ISO Technical Committee has a corresponding national mirror body in each country that actively participates in the regulatory process and is responsible for the formation of working groups in the various technical areas or standards groups. The mirror body is a local technical body to allow national experts to participate in the study of this international standard.
